Trip Info:

What we fish for:  We primarily target Maryland's state fish, the striped bass  (aka: rockfish). However, throughout the year we also encounter other species such as trout, spot, croaker, white perch, bluefish, catfish, Spanish mackerel, red drum and more. When the rockfish seaon is closed, we will offer a variety of trips.

How we fish:  Captains Greg and Brennan specialize in the use of light tackle in order to give their passengers the most interactive fishing experience possible. Throughout the year they will employ chunking, live lining, artifical lure casting and jigging techniques.  However there is an emphasis on the use of artificial lures. Please feel free to discuss your fishing goals with them prior to the trip so that they may make appropriate arrangements.

What we recommend: To ensure an enjoyable day on the water we recommend that the party bring:

  • Appropriate clothing for the weather (remember it can be much cooler on the water. Layers are often best)
  • Non-marking Soft soled shoes
  • Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
  • Your food and drink (beer and wine IN MODERATION ONLY - No liquor please)
  • Personal medications & sea sick preventatives
  • Absolutely NO MARIJUANA!  (it is illegal federally and we operate under USCG rules)
  • Cooler/zip lock bags to bring your catch home

What we supply: We will supply everything needed to fish. This includes rods, reels, tackle, licenses, bait, and ice for the fish cooler on board. (if a seperate cooler is needed for your food, please advise the captain in advance). If you want to bring your own fishing equipment, please check with the captain in order to not bring unnecessary gear. Walk on anglers may not bring more than 2 rods per angler.  Note: Any lost or misused equipment will be billed at current replacement value.
